City Build is passionate about improving people’s employability skills and work experience opportunities, particularly that of the younger generation. We believe that the recruitment and training of our existing workforce and of new entrants to the industry is of vital importance for innovation and creating a positive local economic impact and addressing the wider skills needs of the construction industry.

 

AARON JONES
Trainee Estimator

Aaron joined City Build in 2012 as a Trainee.  Since then, Aaron has completed his BTEC and HNC through City Build, and we are now sponsoring Aaron to undertake a BSc(Hons) at the University of Salford.  We look forward to working with Aaron, as he develops into a fully qualified Estimator.

Quantity Surveyor

City Build have sponsored Aston through his BSc (Hons) degree with the University of Liverpool.  Aston successfully graduated in July with a First Class Honors Degree!  Congratulations Aston

George Gardner
Year Out Student

City Build are currently employing George, a year out Student, who is studying Quantity Surveying at Leeds Beckett University.  George is working in the surveying department, gaining valuable industry knowledge.  You may see George attending site meetings with our Surveyors, or out on site carrying out measuring.

We have a strong track record of running successful apprenticeship schemes, employing local people on local projects and increasing the social value of the projects we work on. We have developed robust relationships with local colleges to ensure that we attract talented young people to our industry who can train and develop their skills with us whilst contributing to the local economy. We have employed and developed 12 successful apprentices from joiners to plumbers over the years who have had a positive impact on our company and the delivery of our projects.
