City Build has published its updated Carbon Reduction Plan, setting out how emissions are being reduced across the business.
Since the 2019 baseline, emissions have fallen by 13% through practical changes to day-to-day operations, including less travel, better energy use, and tighter control of materials and waste on site .
Our approach is to make changes that work in practice and repeat them across projects.
Construction remains a high-impact industry, particularly when it comes to materials and the supply chain. City Build is continuing to improve its understanding of these areas as better data becomes available.
The next phase focuses on lowering fuel use, improving how projects are delivered, and getting clearer data on where emissions sit across the business and its supply chain.
City Build is working towards Net Zero by 2050, with progress reviewed each year against what is actually being delivered.
